Seven people have been winched to safety after becoming trapped on a rocky outcrop on the state’s Far North Coast.
The group of fisherman became stranded by the tide at an area known as ‘The Causeway’ at Fingal Head at around 4 o’clock this morning.
They were individually winched to shore, with four people treated for minor injuries.
The remainder of the group were unharmed.
