A 59-year-old man has died in a motorcycle accident at Neath, near Cessnock.
Police say the Kawasaki rider lost control and crashed on Cessnock Road.
His female passenger, also aged in her 50s, was taken to hospital suffering non-life threatening injuries.
The road was closed in both directions.
Officers are appealing for anyone with information about the crash, to come forward.
