MAN CHARGED WITH STABBING IN LISMORE

A man has been charged after an alleged stabbing incident at Lismore on Tuesday afternoon.

Police say a group of people arrived at a Gillards Hill property where an altercation with the resident of the property broke out.

It’s alleged a 22-year-old man was stabbed in his upper torso and hand during the ordeal.

The group, including the injured man fled the Cathcart Street home and drove to the hospital.

Police attended the scene and a 20-year-old man was arrested and charged.

He was refused bail and will appear at Lismore Local Court on Wednesday.
