There’s some much-needed drought assistance on the way to some struggling farmers, with Hunter Water transporting drinking water to three Upper Hunter properties today.
With the help of Newcastle and Lake Macquarie councils, the homes at Blandford and Murrurundi will each receive a share of 25,000 litres of potable water.
The properties aren’t connected to town supplies, and needed additional water to top up their tanks.
