CHARGES LAID FOLLOWING CASINO POLICE RAID

A 36-year-old man has been charged, after police allegedly found drugs and stolen furniture during a raid in the state’s Northern Rivers region.

Around 1pm yesterday, police raided a property on Johnston Street at Casino, allegedly locating methamphetamine, MDMA, knuckle dusters, and ammunition.

Police will allege they also located household furniture, which was stolen during an aggravated break in at an Oak Avenue home earlier in the year.

Following inquiries, a 36-year-old man was arrested in Graham Place.

He was charged with a string of offences, and is expected to face Lismore Bail Court later today.

A second man, aged 25, was also arrested as a result of the raid.

He was issued a Field Court Attendance Notice, and will face court next week.
