It’s not a new idea, but according to Newcastle MP, Tim Crakanthorp, a ferry wharf at Wickham has now become a matter of urgency.
He made the call today, flanked by community members from Stockton and inner city suburbs, while on Lee Wharf land that’s soon to be developed.
The matter will be raised with the Transport Minister next week.
