Upgrade work at one of the Hunter’s busiest intersections will commence tonight.
Authorities say lane closures and reduced speed limits will be in place during the evening at the Weakleys and John Renshaw drive roundabout at Beresfield.
The project is part of the state government’s M1 upgrades, and will involve replacing the roundabout with traffic lights, and widening road shoulders.
It’s expected to be complete by early next year.
