Honeysuckle was barely recognisable last night as it turned into a mini Chinatown for the Light Up Newcastle Lantern Walk.
Almost 10-thousand people lined the decorated foreshore to celebrate Chinese New Year.
The famous red lanterns were on sale, with proceeds going to the Mission to Seafarers charity.
