A restructure of the New South Wales police force officially comes into effect from today.
Local Area Commands will now be known as Police Districts.
Superintendent Fred Trench will head the Oxley district – which now includes the southern sectors of the former Barwon L-A-C.
The New England Police District will include Armidale, Inverell and Moree, which will be headed by Superintendent Scott Tanner.
