A passionate group from Tamworth’s Filipino community were out in force today, to cheer on the finalists of this year’s Friendship Games.
After 11 weeks of competition, the decider came down to Tey’s Cowboys and the Redbacks, with the latter claiming the silverware 61 to 54.
Since its inception in 2015, the competition has grown from six to nine teams, with the concept all about inclusion.
There’s already expansion plans in the pipeline for next year, with the addition of a junior league.
