Hunter Development Corporation is seeking an “experienced and imaginative” operator to transform the iconic Newcastle train station.
Expressions of interest have opened to lease and manage the site for at least 18-months, starting next April.
The area has up to six separate tenancy areas, with more than 3000 square metres of outdoor space.
“There is such an opportunity at Newcastle Station to do something special,” said HDC Chief Executive Michael Cassel.
“What we are offering is a unique opening for an experienced operator to bring the station to life through a mix of events, and retail and commercial opportunities.”
Potential uses for the space could include restaurants, cafes and retail outlets.
