Steven John Johnson has today been sentenced to a maximum of six years in prison, after killing a man in South Tamworth two years ago.
On May 15, 2015, the 39 year old got into a fight with Ken Matthews on Goonoo Goonoo Road.
Mr Matthews died 24 hours later.
Having been behind bars since his arrest, Mr Johnson will be eligible for parole in May, 2019.
