A long-running dispute between Lake Macquarie Council and developer Johnson Property Group has been resolved, meaning work on a large housing estate at North Cooranbong can move forward.
The row centred around a Voluntary Planning Agreement for the Watagan Park development.
The company now hopes a further 200 lots will be on sale before Christmas, with the estate to provide up to 2,500 once complete.
Lake Council has released subdivision certificates for 299 lots, and says cycleway work needs to be completed before more can be released.
