TWO MEN HOLD UP GOLD COAST TAKEAWAY STORE

Two men have held-up a takeaway store on the Gold Coast overnight.

Police say that the men, one armed with a hunting style knife and the other claiming to have a firearm, entered the store on Frank Street in Labrador shortly after 11pm, and demanded cash from the staff.

During the robbery, the men also cut the cord to a point of sale computer, possibly believing it was a cash register, and fled the store with the item.

The men are described as being aged in their early 20’s, 175 cm tall wearing dark coloured hoodies and had their faces covered.

No firearm was actually sighted during the robbery, and the 30-year-old male store employee was not injured.
