The New England will soon be home to a new Agtech Cluster initiative, following the state government’s announcement in Armidale yesterday.
One of three pilot programs, the Agtech Cluster seeks to build a stronger rural sector and increase innovation in the industry.
Research out of the University of New England has already seen technologies such as the Smart Farm and Smart Region Incubator
It’s hoped the initiative will bring skills, jobs and industry to the region.
