Construction can begin on a $7-million-dollar upgrade to the Northern Rivers Livestock Exchange.
It comes after the independent Northern Joint Regional Planning Panel approved the development application this week.
Richmond Valley Council estimates the Casino saleyards contributed more than $100-million-dollars to the local economy this year.
The upgrade will include improvements to the roof, walkway, fencing, floor and security.
