Water restrictions in the Hastings have been lifted, after the region’s two dams rose to a combined level of 73 per-cent.
The Level 1 restrictions were introduced in January, after dry weather prevented pumping for several months.
Council says the recent rain has boosted river levels, to the point where it’s been able to use its high volume pump set for the first time since 2015.
