A man has been hospitalised with two puncture wounds to his chest after an incident on the Gold Coast this morning.
Police say that a 34-year-old male sustained the injuries at an apartment building on the Gold Coast Highway in Broadbeach, around 7am.
The victim was taken to the Gold Coast University Hospital. The injuries are non-life threatening.
A short time later, a 35-year-old man was taken into custody in Helensvale.
The man, from Geebung, was charged with acts intended to cause grievous bodily harm.
