Mick Hodges has been appointed coach of Warialda, with the Wombats returning to Group 19 after a year off.
The back rower played for Gwydir in 2013, when the Wombats merged with Bingara.
More recently, he’s been part of Inverell’s back-to-back Group 19 premiership-winning side.
Players take to the training paddock for the first time next Friday night.
