Two Tamworth cricketers have been handed the chance to test themselves in Newcastle’s Twenty20 competition.
Opening bowler Tom O’Neill and batsman Michael Rixon have been drafted into the Hamilton-Wickham outfit as guest players.
The Central North representatives will be hoping to help their team mates defend their crown.
They’ll be familiar with Sunday’s first round opponents, having helped Tamworth beat Waratah-Mayfield in the Country Cup in November.
