A 52-year-old man remains in John Hunter Hospital, following a stabbing at Maitland late yesterday afternoon.
Police say the man was involved in an altercation with a 46-year-old man who is known to him, in a shopping centre on Church Street.
It’s alleged the younger man produced a folding knife and inflicted two wounds on the 52-year-old’s chest.
He was taken to John Hunter Hospital for treatment, while the 46-year-old was arrested in a nearby street.
He was later charged with reckless wounding.
