Old Bar Sand Replenishment Group will welcome coastal engineer and former chair of the New South Wales Coastal Panel Angus Gordon, at its annual meeting this weekend.
With over 40 years of experience, the well-respected guest will discuss beach protection measures with the community.
“His favourite thing is beach scraping… he’s in favour of the sand being taken from Farquar inlet to protect this beach, to build up this beach.”
Meanwhile, new sand traps are expected to be installed at Old Bar within the next few months.
