A 42-year-old man has been charged following a five and a half hour stand-off at a home in Wallsend yesterday.
Officers were called to the property on Macquarie Street just before midday, amid reports a male was refusing to leave the premises.
The 42-year-old was arrested at 5.30pm and has since been charged with damaging property, and has also been served with an AVO.
