International hotel chain Holiday Inn wants to check in to Newcastle West, with plans lodged for an eight storey building at the former Holden caryard site.
The $26.3-million development is on public exhibition until August 8.
Meanwhile, a DA has also been lodged for a 14 storey seniors complex on the opposite side of the same block, featuring 60 aged care beds and 74 self-contained units.
