Forensic police are investigating, following an explosion that badly damaged a public toilet block at Redhead last night.
It’s believed vandals set off the blast at 10pm inside the block, which is close to the Redhead Surf Club.
The explosion caused significant damage to the building’s ceiling, roof and even caused a window to blow out.
Lake Macquarie Council estimates the damage to be around $20,000.
Police are appealing for anyone who saw anything suspicious, to come forward.
