Newcastle’s Sam Bates has completed her first game since breaking her arm during the Women’s Big Bash.
Playing for the Sydney Thunder, Bates claimed the wicket of Ellyse Perry in the clash with cross-town rivals, the Sixers.
Unfortunately Bates’ side lost the game by 39 runs.
