Northern Tablelands MP Adam Marshall is calling for equity when it comes to the New South Wales Gas Rebate Scheme.
As winter approaches and gas heaters fire up, only regions with a reticulated gas supply – that is a mains gas supply – can apply for assistance.
The billion dollar scheme provides low income households with a range of rebates, however those residing in the Northern Tablelands aren’t eligible.
The MP says he’ll be discussing a change to the scheme when parliament resumes next week.
