The future of the regional Botanic Garden in Coffs Harbour will be discussed at a public workshop this week.
An advisory committee will be established to provide support for the State Park Trust responsible for the leafy oasis.
Council is also keen to implement a new management structure, required by the state government, which owns the land.
A volunteer group is concerned about suggestions in a draft plan that garden facilities should be more profitable.
The workshop will be held between 4 and 6pm this Wednesday at the CEX Coffs Club.
