An elderly woman has died, after being hit by a car in northern New South Wales.
The 92-year-old was crossing Cambridge Drive in Lismore at about midday yesterday, when she was knocked down by a Subaru Outback station wagon.
Paramedics treated the woman on scene and she was taken to Lismore Hospital, but died a short time later.
The 40-year-old female driver of the station wagon was uninjured and underwent mandatory blood and alcohol testing.
