The Barbarians can boast to have one of the best home grounds in the New England Rugby Union following recent upgrades at Alcatraz.
Thanks to a $25,000 state government Sport and Recreation grant, a new underground irrigation system has been installed.
The side has also had a change in management, with Tom Bower taking the reins from Sam Piddington and Brett Monley.
Pre season training will continue next Tuesday, with new players invited to come to Alcatraz at 6pm.
