Traffic along Steel Street in Newcastle West came to a standstill this afternoon, after a man was stabbed.
Police say just before one o’clock, a 33-year-old motorist was sitting in traffic, when a man ran at his car, attacking him through the window.
He suffered injuries to his forearm and hand – and was taken to John Hunter Hospital.
