The New England and North West has followed the state trend in the latest crime statistics report, showing a drop in incidents across a number of major crimes.
In the 24 months leading up to September this year, the Liverpool Plains showed a 30 per cent decrease in malicious damage to properties.
While Moree experienced a near 40 per cent drop in indecent assault matters.
However Tamworth’s incidents of retail theft has jumped 54 per cent, prompting a warning from Police Minister Troy Grant, for shop owners to review security.
