A driver has allegedly fled the scene of a head on crash on Orara Way near Coramba just before five yesterday afternoon.
The driver of the other vehicle was trapped in the wreckage for more than half an hour.
He was rushed to Coffs Harbour hospital with non life threatening injuries.
Police say the other man was eventually tracked down and interviewed at a house in the district, as yet no charges have been laid.
