It’s been a mixed weekend for Newcastle in the Sydney Twenty20 Cup.
This afternoon, the Steel easily accounted for Illawarra, passing the visitors’ total with eight wickets to spare.
In the early game, Randwick-Petersham batted first and scored 171.
In reply, Newcastle fell well short.
