Hunter New England Health Services Planner, Louise Evans, has been appointed to start planning Inverell Hospital’s $30 million upgrade.
Consultation has already begun with local staff and Council, with an extended emergency ward and renal dialysis unit listed as priorities.
Members of the community will also be asked for input.
A final design is expected to be complete by the end of 2016.
