Maitland’s historic town hall is set to receive a much-needed makeover.
The state government has allocated $2-million for the refurbishment, which includes the modernisation of the auditorium and performance space.
The heritage-listed hall, which was built in 1890, hasn’t undergone extensive renovations since 1934.
Work will begin tomorrow and is expected to be complete by November.
