They work together in emergency situations, but this month the Manning’s Police, SES and Rural Fire Service crews will go head to head in a blood donation challenge.
“We were expecting quite a great response- each year we do get a good response from the emergency services and it was wonderful to see them all here today having a bit of fun too,” Red Cross Blood Service Greg French said.
Today’s mass donation comes just days before the country unites for National Blood Donor week.
