Gosford Council has joined a chorus of organisations supporting the legalisation of same-sex marriage in Australia.
During a meeting last night, councillors voted unanimously in support of the change.
They also agreed to write to the federal government to encourage a conscience vote on the matter.
Meantime, Gosford’s derelict Kibbleplex building may be destined for development, with council giving consent for developers to seek its market value.
