The state Coroner has found Hunter motocross star Tyrone Gilks was placed in unnecessary danger while undertaking a world record attempt that claimed his life.
Coroner Michael Barnes said there was too much reliance on trial and error – in a situation that could, and sadly did, prove fatal.
