It’s an Aussie icon, and according to judges, the country’s best meat pie can be found in Port Macquarie.
Bel’s Gordon Street Bakery outdid more than 200 others to earn the title, in a national competition in Melbourne last night.
The bakery also took out the chunky beef and vegetarian categories.
Run by the Baking Association of Australia, the competition saw pies judged on their taste, colour, smell and presentation.
