Motorists are being warned to expect traffic disruptions near Urunga and Bellingen over the weekend.
Roads and Maritime Services have closed Short Cut Road to open a new bridge over the new Pacific Highway alignment.
It’s part of the $780 million upgrade between Nambucca Heads and Urunga.
The road will be closed until at least Monday morning.
Residents will need to use Waterfall Way to access the highway.
