Ausgrid has today restored power to around 5,000 homes and businesses across the Central Coast, but more than 12,000 properties are still in the dark.
Work to the major lines is almost complete, and crews will now begin to reconnect lines in more isolated suburbs.
All areas are expected to have power by the end of the week.
