Richmond Valley Council’s financial situation is improving, according to a recent report.
Two years ago, the New South Wales Treasury Corporation found the council was facing a financial crisis.
But recently it’s been given a more positive report card, re-rated by the corporation as being in a moderate sustainability position with a neutral outlook.
General Manager John Walker says the re-rating is the result of council’s financial operations overhaul.
