The police community has farewelled one of its own.
Detective Superintendent Gary O’Neill passed away last week.
Mr O’Neill was a distinguished member of the Australian Federal Police, serving 40 years, both here and overseas.
The 61-year-old had only retired two weeks ago.
He was farewelled with full police honours.
Mr O’Neill from Reedy Creek, is survived by his wife Jan, and three children.
