Dredging work on the Hastings River is set to begin this month.
The project will see the river widened to improve waterway navigation conditions adjacent to Port Macquarie’s Town Green.
Sand will be removed from the channel and used to replenish Town Beach between the Breakwall and Sea Rescue building.
Access to some areas of the Breakwall, Coastal Walk and Town Beach will be restricted while the dredging takes place.
The work is expected to be complete by late November.
