A major air and sea search involving five aircraft is underway for a fisherman missing off Evans Head, on New South Wales’ far north coast.
The alarm was raised this morning, after the 45 year old failed to return from a trip to check his fish traps yesterday.
His empty boat was found by the Westpac Rescue Helicopter, 15 nautical miles off the coast this morning.
