The winner of last year’s Forster Running Festival, Vlad Shatrov, won’t be out to defend his half marathon title this weekend, while runner-up Anthony Farrugia from the Central Coast will take to the starting line.
Farrugia has a good track record in Port Macquarie and Forster – having won both running festivals in the past.
Kristin Molloy, the first woman to cross the line last year will also be back.
Around 200 people are expected to compete in the half marathon on Sunday, while another 900 will participate in the shorter courses.
