A day of celebrations has been planned for later this month, with the North Companions Football Club marking its 40th anniversary.
The club first entered teams in the Tamworth local competition in 1974, after it split from the Tamworth Police Boys Club.
On August 16, a Festival of Football will be held at the Marius Street fields, while an anniversary dinner will also take place at the North Tamworth Bowling Club.
