A Gold Coast Police Officer has been stood down, following a high-speed crash on Mother’s Day, which left a teenage girl fighting for life.
Witnesses say, 18 year-old Shayna Hardy was speeding, when she pulled out from a side street onto Bundall Road, side-swiping another car.
Seconds later, amateur vision shows a Police car just metres behind – with lights flashing – but no sirens.
The investigation will centre around whether the 47-year-old Senior Constable followed correct procedure.
