Wildlife rescuers are warning our summer holidays can be a nightmare for turtles.
Experts say more people on the beaches means more rubbish which the precious creatures can eat… something that often ends in tragedy.
“there’s no upside for the turtle it’s just a slow, slow death.”
Seabird Rescue already has four turtles in its care, and fears there’s plenty more to come.
It says there’s a simple solution.
“Please take whatever you bring with you to the beach home and put it in the proper recycling process please, please respect take care of our ocean’s creatures and respect our beaches.”
